Kikyou's the previous "owner" of Kagome's soul. She was a very powerful miko (priestess) in her time alive on earth. She died after being fatally wounded by Inu Yasha, when he was trying to steal the Shikon no Tama from her protection. She went to her grave holding the jewel in her hands, after shooting an arrow which sealed Inu Yasha forever to a sacred tree. Kikyou and Inu Yasha both died hating each other, believing that the other had turned on them, when in fact it was all a trap by Naraku. She was brought back to life by witchery using her bones and earth from her grave. She's back, and still is hating Inu Yasha. She will not die peacefully until she has taken Inu Yasha down to hell with her. She travels the land from town to town until she needs to leave, her body staying alive by taking the souls of dead women
Ever since Kikyo came back from the world of the dead, we have had no clue, no idea at all if she was a one of the good people or one of the bad people that still wont stop until the revenge is done. In Kikyo's case, her revenge is to kill Inu-Yasha for betraying her..

His main "children" are Kagura, Kanna, Goshinki, and the Juuroumaru and Kageroumaru creature. Naraku also loves using a form of puppetry to control life like copies of himself to do his dirty work for him. Naraku's name translates to "Hell" in English.
Naraku is the reason for everyone's troubles. Spawned from Onigumo, the wounded man kikyou took care of in the cave. He's quite deceivious, and well, to state the obvious, evil. For the first few episodes that he's present in, he's seen wearing a white baboon skin. In later episodes, he still wears the pelt, but also shows his face as well. Naraku is the master of having offspring, as I've lost count to how many he has to tell the truth.
Naraku
Kagura is a wind youkai spawned from Naraku, and she's only a few months old. Her older sister is Kanna. Kagura travels on a feather she pulls from her hair bun, as she flies across the lands, doing Naraku's dirty work. She wishes not to serve him anymore, she wants to make her own decisions. She uses a fan as a weapon to toss deadly razor gusts at her foes. She quite exotic looking, with her red eyeshadow and elven ears. At least in my opinion.
